I began writing for pleasure in 2009 following my retirement and enrolling in the writing class at Modesto Institute for Continued Learning (MICL). This class at MICL was the impetus I needed to take my writing seriously.  Because of the support and encouragement I received, I wrote and published “…Like Footprints in the Wind,” a historical fiction novel based on my ancestral history. I also thoroughly enjoy writing children’s picture books and any story about animals, particularly dogs.

I have been instrumental in the publication of two cookbooks for non-profit entities. Additionally, I’ve had articles printed in The Journal, the international publication of the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia. I am working on a sequel to my novel and a compendium of my writings.

I am a member of the Dog Writers Association of America, The National League of American Pen Women, and Northern California Publishers and Authors

.

My other interests include horses, dogs, and genealogy. We live in the country with one horse, two dogs, a pot-bellied pig, and numerous barn cats
